How happy are you?

When I was in Exter for a crash course in English, every morning the teacher started his lessons with these word: “How do you feel today?”.

Now I can answer: “Sligthly satisfied”. It’s a test for measure your happyness. The Happiness Formula is a BBC world series

which looks at the newest research from around the world to find out what could it be that makes us happy.

There are some resources about hapiness: videos, tests, shows. Have a look!

A very simple network message utility (first step)

It’s just an idea…

At the moment I’m just looking for some code to send receive messages via “net send” utility:

This tool should be useful to send very important message such as “Want to go to lunch?” to my co-workers.

Questions that aren’t really questions

If your girlfriend ask you “How do I look?” or “Where do you want to go tonight?” or “What are you thinking?”, be sure your response is right. Be careful.
The main point is this: these questions aren’t really questions.

English as second language

I’ve found some useful resources to learn english “as second language”:

The first, EnglishAsSecondLanguage, is a great resource: you can download a mp3 file once a day and listen to it; you’ve also a text and an explanation to have a complete understanding of that text.

The second, OwlAtPurdue, contains grammar rules, exercises and pratical instructions to write for different subjects and in different styles.

The third, BbcLearning, is simply a BBC powered site: professional, serious, exhaustive.

The fourth, LanguageExchange, is a community: you can practice your second language with a native speaker who is learning your language.

Allevi’s Joy

Sure. Some people known Giovanni Allevi, but for me it is a new discover. Allevi is a composer and pianist, his style re-elaborates European classical tradition with jazz, new pop and contemporary tendencies. During his admission test at the G.Verdi Conservatoire in Milan, it seems that the examinators said “Or Allevi has copied or is the new Brahms”.

I suggest to listen two album: Joy and No concept.

You can  start to listen just a few second of Allevi’s music: have a look at this site.

Why not?

OK, done. And now?

This is my first post. I don’t know exactly what I’ll write here. And which language? English? Italian? Gaddhuresu? Maybe all of them. Not all together. I promise.
